Unit Name
Captain Michael S Walker,
July 15 1969. Fell over Laos during the Vietnam War, piloting his F 4 Phantom jet for the US Air Force While in high school, I wore his POW/MIA bracelet. For sometime all I knew was his name and the date he fell. about 20 years ago I found an online Vietnam wall page and began to learn more about this dear comrade in arms. When he left on his deployment he had a one year old daughter, three months after he incident his son was born. I got in touch with family and friends over the years and wish I had known him in this life. We changed the name of our unit to bear his name in honor of the pilot, friend, brother, son, husband and father and now grandfather. It’s been 56 years but, Cobra 6-1 you are remembered.

You are missed Doctor Hawley
September 6 1953 –June 4 2020
Doctor Hawley, served us as our medical officer during his tenure in our squadron. He was an awesome ER doctor who tended his patients with kindness and lots of heart. He was a dear sweet friend and we miss him in our unit and in our community. It has been almost 5 years and it’s still a sad feeling…
